What You Do
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing, development, and implementation of integrated hardware and software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware and software engineering, strong project management skills, and knowledge of PLC programming and automation. This role requires a hands-on approach to solving complex engineering problems and delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients’ needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test integrated hardware and software systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components
- Evaluate and select appropriate hardware and software technologies for various projects
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of systems
- 10%-25% of domestic and international travel
Project Management
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as necessary
Technical Skills
- Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for automated systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC hardware and software
- Design and implement control systems for manufacturing and industrial automation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Data architecture and programming proficiency
- Networks
- Computer systems design
- CAD experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD+
- Design, and modification of electrical, electronic, mechanical and/or electro-mechanical, sub-systems and systems
- Prototyping
- Experience in new product introduction
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide training and support to team members and clients as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Engineering or equivalent
- Systems, Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls or Robotics Engineering experience
- Understand and appreciate computer hardware and software
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience
- 5+ years of field experience
- 5+ years of control system-related experience
