Alex C. Eng, JD, MBA, CPA, CMA

Alex C. Eng is currently Vice President, U.S. Corporate Finance at EDF power solutions, the North American renewable headquarters for EDF, a Fortune Global 100 company and the world’s largest power utility. He is also former-Chairman of the Board and General Counsel at the Institute of Management Accountants, a top global professional association serving 150,000 members in 140 countries, and a member of its Financial Reporting Committee, representing its constituency on proposed standards of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Alex’s former experience includes various controllerships at a defense contractor and at a global telecom services provider, and as tax manager and auditor at a national firm. In his legal practice, Alex has advised extensively on mergers and acquisitions, as well as syndicated lending and structuring of asset-based and project finance transactions on the spectrum of the infrastructure, energy, and technology/SaaS verticals. Alex is an attorney of the State Bar of California, with federal admissions to the United States District Court, Southern District of California, and the United States Tax Court. He also earned an MBA from Suffolk University, a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Calgary (Alberta, Canada).
